Is Salesforce a good company?

I worked at Salesforce for 2 years. It is quite good social culture wise but breeds one of the most boring, political and hierarchical work cultures in the Bay Area. It is very relaxed and potentially good for employees who are a bit older and want to have a really good work-life balance (10:00 am – 4:00 pm kind of work for the rest of your life). The impact of your work is almost negligible since you work in one of the most boring enterprise domains that you could possibly think of like ever and no one would ever care about this domain. Thats why Salesforce does not have a real competition and is doing quite well – generally good and motivated entrepreneurs of current age do not like to go in such intensely boring and unsatisfying area such as CRM. They will have a good future and lead even in the next decade. Its like this => Everyone wants to do cool work but you need someone to do extremely boring but necessary work as well for a company to move forward. Thats where Salesforce comes in => to take care of extremely boring things that no one would like to think about and magically wish that they would have the tool for it.

Is Salesforce a high performance company?

Salesforce is a high-performance company, and low performers aren’t tolerated. But this doesn’t mean more hours – it means being good at what you do. You have to control your schedule, like with any company. No one will stop you from working 80 hours per week, but there are very few times I’ve ever encountered the requirement to do so.
