This post is a personal opinion based on my experiences. I know there are people who have great success with the software and that it has its merits. However, that seems to be the minority despite the fact there are so many users. Particularly for small to medium sized businesses.
This post is incredibly diplomatic IMO. Bringing Salesforce into my organisation is, buy far, the worst mistake I have ever made as a founder. It’s absurdly expensive, you need to hire an entire development team to get it to do what you want (and keep them there to maintain it) and the account managers are disempowered gatekeepers at best.
Agree – I keep making suggestions to my team on how it could be made more user friendly and how error messages could actually help rather than hinder. Nothing changes but I spend a lot of time per day on the system
I agree. From an integration perspective, the product lacks basic features that make the integration to the back-end ERP – a nightmare.the security mechnisem, the tannent managment and API. The big buzz around don’t impress me.I prefer a product with a well build-in best practices for sales and service than a fully customized white board.

Your team still needs to use it regularly and consistently to get the most value. Especially for smaller companies, sometimes a spreadsheet is the best option for accomplishing a goal.
Agree with all of that you said and Jennifer’s post. I’ve been an admin for 8+ years now. Much of that has been spent as a solo admin. I’m tired of people expecting me to know everything. And though they claim they don’t, if I say I don’t know something then they think I’m not good at my job.
