How do I install the force IDE in Eclipse?
You can install the Force.com IDE into your existing Eclipse distribution or upgrade from a previous version. Before installing the Force.com IDE, ensure that you have these items installed on your workstation. Be sure to download the full JDK—without it, the plug-in doesn’t load. On macOS, the full JDK is not the default JRE installation.
What happened to the force com IDE?
The Force.com IDE is no longer available. Switch to using the Salesforce Extensions to Visual Studio Code. After October 12, 2019, support, updates, documentation, and downloads for the Force.com IDE will no longer be available. We recommend migrating to Salesforce Extensions for Visual Studio Code or one of the great tools made by our partners.
